About Sculptural WorkThe unknown shape arouses imagination which differs in each individual. One's imagination may reveal something distinctive. The familiar elements fuse together to create an uncertain entity. The silhouette of a human body, the organic shapes of plants and an inclination towards landscape are all aspects of nature I seek to weave into my forms to express feelings of softness and warmth. As I center clay on the wheel, my hands and mind become one with clay. It takes shape, inhaling my thoughts. I alter the bowl as if it is being given a new set of clothes so it expresses a unique yet beautiful personality. In the end nothing is left but stillness, and the bowl shares my thoughts from the wheel. It is the medium which connects the viewer and the artist to share a moment of peace and contemplation.
